About Us

Funkenwerkstatt started out as a journey in our converted fire truck “Grisu” to learn about sustainability from people abroad. Being aware of the privilege we have as travellers we wanted to share what we had learned along the way. Today, we are a small team of volunteers dedicated to shape our presence and future for the better.

About Us

If you like our concept, feel free to contribute! We want to share ideas about the good life for everyone and inspiring projects from all around the world. Unfortunately, as a small group of people, we can’t visit all those beautiful places out there. We also try to cut down on miles to keep our carbon footprint low. That’s why we’re looking for people who share our vision. If you plan to visit or join a project – or if you’re already there – please send an email with a short description and a contact of the project you are with to funkenwerkstatt@posteo.de. Our team will get in touch with you. If your project fits to our magazine, we’ll send you a short manual and style sheet that can help you with interviews, photography and writing. Once finished, send us your work for editing and we’ll publish it on our website*!

Much love!

–  Funkenwerkstatt

* Of course, you keep all rights to your texts and photography. Please be sure to get permission from the people you interviewed or photographed beforehand. At the moment, Funkenwerkstatt is entirely run by volunteers so we can’t appreciate your contribution financially. However, we are working on ways to finance our magazine so we can pay our authors a small recognition in the future.

We appreciate your feedback and contribution!
